Lea County Women's Network issued five scholarships for the fall semester for students attending New Mexico Junior College and the University of the Southwest.
Three students at the University of the Southwest recently attended the LCWN monthly luncheon and are pictured with Sharon Clark, LCWN President (far left) and Corinne DiBlasi, Scholarship Chairperson. Cassy Davis (second from left) is a senior who is majoring in Early Childhood Education. Lissete Terrazas (center) is a junior and is studying Social Science. Kristi Hinojos (second from the right) is a senior majoring in Psychology.

Women's Network is committed to the education and advancement of area women.  Each year, LCWN selects two or more women who attend Lea County colleges to receive scholarships.  The annually renewable scholarships supplement tuition and book costs. The program allows LCWN to assist local women to achieving educational goals in hopes they will assist other women as they achieve success.

In order to receive the scholarship funding, the student winners must be a full time student and maintain a 3.0 GPA during the semester of the award.
