The Lea County Women’s Network held their monthly luncheon on November 21, 2014 at Pacific Rim.  Pledge of the allegiance was led by Yvonne Dorman and Prayer was led by Vicki Allen.  The Luncheon was attended by several members and four scholarship recipients.

Courtney is from Texas and follow her husband when he was transfer to Hobbs.

After working a couple of jobs, she found her current job with NMJC by networking.  She works between nuclear businesses and the JC    to ensure the college is providing the classes and degree programs the Nuclear & Oil industry are needing.  She builds relationships between the businesses and NMJC.

NMJC currently has an online nuclear degree program, which can be obtain in two years.  Students completing this program can start working in the nuclear industry and possibly start making close to 80k a year.  NMJC currently has close to 100 students enrolled in the nuclear online degree program.

LCWN will be having an ornament exchange at their December Luncheon.
