My name is Sonia M. Tovar.  I am a senior at University of the Southwest. My field of choice is Bilingual Elementary Education. I am also a first-generation graduate in my family.  I am the oldest of 3 sisters and 3 brothers. I am married and have two beautiful daughters who are my inspiration.

I have determined to succeed at my schooling so that I may be the inspiration for children.  I have previously been employed by the Hobbs Schools including working as a substitute teacher.  In doing this, I decided to return to school after many years. When I graduate with my bachelor’s degree, I will continue to stay in Hobbs. I am hoping to work with either bilingual students or the at the first grade level. With all the help from LCWN, my dream of becoming a teacher has become a reality. I would like to thank each and everyone for their generosity and belief in me.
