ImageAs a graduating student of Lovington High School, I have a dream of becoming a prominent young citizen of Lea County. I maintained a 4.0 GPA while a student at LHS and am involved in many extra-curricular activities. I work as a hostess/waitress for Baja Grill Restaurant. I enjoy singing with the Worship and Praise Team at New Beginnings Church on Sundays. My family, friends, and foremost, God, are very important aspects in my life. My roots are grounded in Lea County and my goal is to be able to give back to the community once I have obtained the necessary degree(s) to become successful in my area of interest.

I plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in Pre-Medicine at the University of the Southwest. With my bachelor's degree, I expect to further my education by continuing with a master's degree in athletic training. With this degree, my hopes are to use my education to assist athletes in the Lovington school system. I have already been accepted to the USW Mustang Softball Team where I play first base under the direction of Coach Landschoot. My passion for sports has inspired the pursuit of furthering my education in pre-medicine and receiving a Master's Degree as an athletic trainer.

If awarded this scholarship, I will use it to its maximum potential. This scholarship will help finance the goals that I have set for myself. I am determined to commit to a four year degree because my future depends on the goals that I set right now. I am in need of scholarship money to further my education and your consideration is greatly appreciated. My commitment to the Lea County Women's Network Scholarship is to utilize the gift to its fullest and from it be able to further my education. I truly believe that a college education is not an option but a requirement to be successful in life. Both my parents have a college degree and it is essential to my future.
